‘More than 20m people fully vaccinated against Covid-19’

Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Friday said that more than 20 million people had been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in Pakistan.

” 5 crore (50 million) people have received at least one dose [of the vaccine],” Umar added.

The planning minister further expressed his confidence in surpassing the ‘daunting target’ of vaccinating 70 million people by the end of this year.

Earlier, Umar said at least 35 per cent of the eligible population in the country had received at least one dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine.
